Expecting a moderate pace headed by Oaksdeel and Elphaba. OAKSDEEL (6) is a lot stronger this season and will be peaking third up from a spell. This field lacks any depth of form, and even from a wide gate, she is the one to beat. TRANQUIL EYES (7) has gone close to winning a race in the past, and her recent form is heading the right way. A good draw is always a help, and she is the main threat to the top pick. GASGAL (8) is proving to be very hard to catch and was a fast finishing fourth here 12 days ago over 1400m The extra furlong will help, and more importantly, she will have Bruno Queiroz in the saddle, which could be enough to see her break through for an overdue win. ELPHABA (12) whacked away along the rails here last time out, and is not the worst for top 4 combinations. BENGAL (3) has looked better at the trials recently, and the blinkers going on can help. Include in all combinations at a price. SUGGESTED PLAY: Oaksdeel should win, and Tranquil Eyes with Gasgal for the quinella.
