Wintersun and The Boss Girls will press forward in a keen battle for the lead. THE BOSS GIRLS (7) ran out of steam in her first run in the South, and coasted home to finish midfield after racing close to the early pace. She strips fitter, and a form reversal is on the cards. On top for us. AVIVA (3) was sent out as a hot favourite when finishing second by a head at Timaru just over 3 weeks ago. She strips fitter second up, and is overdue to break through for her first win. PRIVATE TREATY (6) battled on nicely late when making her South Island debut at Wingatui a fortnight ago. She steps straight up to a middle distance and won't be in this grade for much longer. WARRIOR OF WAR (8) has been steadily improving as she steps up in distance, and is ready now to put her best hoof forward in this. Each-way value. EL FUEGO (1) was beaten by a wide gate here last time out, and finally gets a decent draw. He was in good form before his latest effort, and he can bounce straight back into the money here. SUGGESTED PLAY: The Boss Girls is a real chance to take this out at some value.
