Genuine tempo from Coastal Strike leading Native Clan. SNOW EAGLE (4) is a progressive galloper who won a CL1 here first-up up over 1400m as expected. She has plenty up her sleeve, and the step up to the mile is ideal now. She maps well, and Pires is reunited, having ridden her in two Listed races at the back of the previous campaign. ISLAND WARRIOR (1) raced at Listed level this trip before the spell and has been close up at both starts this campaign. Has a handy 2kg claim and has more to give. She rates the threat. CARNELIAN ROCK (7) would be a chance if he put his best foot forward. He's won this course/trip, but the inside gate may be a disadvantage. COASTAL STRIKE (2) led and was quickly back on track, winning a CL1 from the front over this distance. Keeps the handy 3kg claim and he's sure to give a sight. MANHATTAN NIGHTS (3) brings decent enough form from the synthetic and will be around the mark. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Snow Eagle.
