Leading contender. MARTEE (7) showed early speed from an outside draw and held a forward position before fading to finish eighth, beaten 6 lengths, last start over 1400m at this track. Another bold showing is expected. A SHIN CONPA (5) last appeared six-and-a-half weeks ago over 1400m at this track when he finished eighth. This is his first run for the Hiroaki Watase stable.
