Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Geemes. COURTING EMILY (1) has raced twice to date, beaten the barest of margins on debut at Bendigo over 1500m before perhaps being unsuited at Stawell when seemingly disappointing as a $1.55 favourite. Getting to 2000m on the big track here should assist greatly. GEEMES (11) has been good in two runs to date, sticking on for second albeit no match for an easy winner last time at Sale. Up in trip again here should suit, she'll take plenty of catching. WONDERING SPIRIT (9) ran a much better race at his second start, finding the line well here over 1600m and giving every indication 2000m would be ideal. Gets that now, will be hard to hold out. HE'S A TIGER (3) could be an improver. SUGGESTED PLAY: Courting Emily to win.
