Pace should be on from the outset with Smile We, Alain Barows and Moueix going hard, closely attended by Fauvisme. MOUEIX (1) has been in great form recently, the latest effort a dominant win by 4 lengths over 1600m at this track to make it seven victories in a row. Winning rider Akira Harita retains the mount. It doesn't get any easier but on current form he is capable of another big performance. SMILE WE (16) broke through for a win last start when second up from a spell, scoring by 0.8 lengths over 1400m at Urawa. Has a strong record at the third run in so a big run is likely. RIKO SEAWOLF (6) led throughout last time over 1600m at this track and scored a comfortable win. Positive ride expected again and will be in this for a long way. MANDARIN HERO (5) finished third last start over 2000m at Kawasaki, beaten 5.5 lengths. Yet to miss the frame in three starts over this course and distance. Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is one of the key runners.
