Plenty of runners but the field lacks a pacemaker so a dawdling affair is on the cards. GRASS FLAG (5) is building towards a maiden win after minor placings at his last two runs, the latest when second over 1400m at this track. Will drift back but wind up late. Could prove tough to beat. LEE SAM GUINEA (7) led early and was still in the firing line on the turn last start before tiring to finish fifth over 1600m at Morioka Dirt. This looks a nice race so expect him to be right in the finish. VOGUE ALTAIR (9) has been out of the placings at his last couple of outings, the latest when he couldn't come after settling back and finished 17th over 1600m at Niigata. Expected to feature back in this class. GRASS CHEER (8) ran a better race last start, finishing fourth over 920m at this track. Finds a nice race and is in the mix.
