SPORTSMANSHIP 1200M HANDICAP 1200m Track: GOOD
From the inside gate Bottomuptogether should be prominent along with Divano. Great race with some progressive types facing off. BOTTOMUPTOGETHER (4) has been superb over the short course in both runs to date and now steps out to 1200m for the first time. He trialled over this trip recently in fine style and the way he won last start suggests the extra trip is no issue. Should get every chance under Purton to remain undefeated. Worth noting that Purton sticks with him over DIVANO (5) who he rode to a 0.8L victory at this track and trip 36 days ago. Hugh Bowman takes over now, but the gelding has plenty of upside and he'll be prominent from the draw. Can continue his winning ways without surprising. SELF IMPROVEMENT (2) will need some luck from the outside draw but he is hard to knock on recent form, just missing last start on the All Weather track. He has performed well on the Turf prior so switching back to this surface is no issue. Can be about the finish. SOLID IMPACT (1) is racing well and warrants respect.
