The pace looks strong from the outset. PORT LOUIS (4) is better than his last start run over this course and distance would suggest. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. Two of his three career victories have come over this distance. On best form shown, he can return to winning ways. INFRARED (3) finished sixth over 2000m in the G1 Cape Derby at this track last start and was then put out for a spell. Rates highly and makes plenty of appeal. WE'RE JAMMING (2) finished sixth last time out over 1200m at this track. Races over a longer trip this time. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position and is one of the main contenders. ZOOMIE (5) ran a better race last start, finishing fifth over 1200m at this track. Has his share of ability and has top-three claims.
