TEEWATERS (6) is knocking on the door of a maiden hurdle win and gets his chance here. He's been close up his past couple and has contested largely stronger races than this. Should take plenty of beating. TOPSPIN (7) has had a few chances but is improving, starting $3.60 against Teewaters two back before a strong effort at Casterton last time when beaten two lengths. A repeat of that has him firmly in the finish. LUCKYHELEFT (2) made his jumps debut at Casterton last time out and ran well for third. Open to improvement now and gets Pateman aboard. HE'S A TIGER (1) makes his jumps debut and has won a recent hurdling trial. Expecting he runs a good race. TAPA CAPALL (5) can run well on his jumps debut for the Bobbin yard.
