Solid tempo anticipated with So Awesome up front. SO AWESOME (7) sat up on the speed when favourite last start and was only caught late in the race, going under by 0.3L at this rack and trip. While he does rise in weight slightly, Hugh Bowman takes the ride now and he draws down low once again. Can go one better this time. TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR (1) looks as though he's been targeted towards this race as he drops in grade and gets Purton in the saddle again. He has been placed in stronger company than this and while he is likely to get back, he'll be storming home over the top of them late in the race. MULTIDARLING (12) gets the blinkers on for the first time today after jumping the $3.10 chance behind So Awesome last time out. He was slowly away there and got back in the ruck, but if he can hold a more prominent position this time around he'll go close. MODEST GENTLEMAN (4) is racing well without winning lately and has to be included.
