Small field but plenty of pace engaged, including Yu Memory, Safari and B B Primero. KYUTARO (3) made it back-to-back wins when successful last start over 1000m at this track, getting home by 2 lengths. Winning rider Junichiro Agishi retains the mount. Must raise the bar but he has the ability to test this field. YU MEMORY (2) stepped out for her debut over 1400m at Chukyo Dirt back on September 29 and finished fourth. Likely improver and can get off the mark this time. NINLIL (5) started this preparation with a win two runs ago. Couldn't follow that up last time out when fifth over 1200m at this track. Meeting a tougher field but on her best form she is one of the key runners. SAFARI (4) last appeared on April 13 when a good fourth over 1200m at Hanshin Dirt which was his only run of the campaign. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Can feature in the finish.
