NUM TIME COMMENT
1 12:15 A1 Tyrepower Wangaratta Maiden Plate 1300m
Reasonable tempo with Apple Eyes probably leading but a few others should keep her honest. JULEP (8) is a very well-bred filly by Wootton Bassett out of Full Of Spirit who debuts for the Freedman yard. She's jumped out fairly but this is a very winnable maiden against some well-exposed types and she should take beating for the top yard. PONTE ARCOBALENO (1) has run second in all five runs this time in, beaten narrowly again at $2.50 last start at Swan Hill. Turns around quickly here onto his home track, he barely needs to improve to be breaking through. PLEASE ME DO (6) is knocking on the door having placed in her past two. The run two back at Bendigo in a tougher maiden reads well. Strong hope. APPLE EYES (7) faded late at Albury on debut but will be better for it. BRILLIANT BEAGLE (5) is going okay and a place chance.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Julep to win.
2 12:48 Tim McCurdy MP Ovens Valley Maiden Plate 1590m
Expecting Slippery Thinker to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. YOU SAID WHAT (7) is relatively lightly raced having gotten a long way back when 4 lengths from the winner in sixth over 1600m at Ballarat last start. Gets the switch to an inside gate here and finds a winnable maiden. PHANTOM'S CHASE (3) did enough fresh at Echuca over 1600m when battling home into sixth. Fitter for that now and can roll forward to offset the wide gate. Should take catching. JAPPALOUIS (2) had been going well prior to disappointing at Echuca last time, beaten a long way. Form prior gives him a genuine chance. BLACK FROST (5) ran a decent race on debut at Wodonga despite starting $41 and will be shorter this time around with claims. IVE GOT THE POWER (6) will find this much easier than a race in town last time when outclassed.  SUGGESTED PLAY: You Said What to win.
3 01:26 Bi-Rite Home Appliances Wangaratta Maiden Plate 2000m
Theres nothing to run them along. NOBLE STEED (4) looks the one to beat. He stepped up to 2400m last time at Bendigo and was turned over at $1.65 when finishing second and now comes back to 2000m, but this is a much easier race, up against a few horses who are going through the motions. Really only needs to hold his form to be breaking through. TAAJWAR (6) is the danger. Two career runs to date have been good, working home well for third at Echuca last time out over 1600m. Looks suited to 2000m now and must respect from the good draw for the McEvoy yard. FEDORA (8) made sharp improvement stepping up in trip second up at Ballarat, suggesting this sort of trip would be up his alley. Should be right there. MIGHTY MAC (3) was better last time at St Arnaud and can sneak into the finish with SAKER FALCON (9).  SUGGESTED PLAY: Noble Steed to win.
4 02:07 Ovens Ford Wangaratta BM52 Handicap 2000m
Solid tempo anticipated with Crusheen Lass taking charge. AZEOLA (11) beat quite a few of these two starts back over 2050m at Wodonga before another solid effort over this route in a slightly stronger affair last time, working home well for third. Comes back to a BM52 now and draws well. Can bounce back. DASHING DONKEY (1) was second to Azeola last time when beaten under a length. He struggles to win but has claims off his last start performance. SECOND NATURE (10) was much better when last seen at Yarra Valley in a 0-56. A repeat of that has him in the mix. PARABELLUM (7) is going okay, not far away of late, beaten 3.5 lengths at Albury in a Bm58 last start. Should prove hard to hold out. MASTER POLANSKI (2) has each-way claims.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Azeola to win.
5 03:17 Sportsbet Feed BM52 Handicap 1170m
A strong tempo is assured with Shahin and Soo Kiss Me leading the charge. SOO KISS ME (4) is building nicely this time in, improving her finishing position by one each time she's stepped out. She was good at Wodonga two back when third and just missed at Balranald last time when well supported. The Duffy/Weeding combination is a good one on their home deck and she should go close. O'REG (1) is knocking on the door having just found one better his past two. Beaten a length last time at Wodonga, he gets a good jockey up and can roll forward. CHAIRMAN'S CHOICE (2) was behind O'reg last time at Wodonga when working home into third. He has to be considered off that effort. MAGNEA (3) was better last time at Wodonga in the same race and comes under notice now, although the draw is sticky. SHAHIN (10) perhaps next best.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Soo Kiss Me to win.
6 03:57 Winsec Savings & Loans BM52 Handicap 1170m
Kazotsky to go to the lead at a genuine tempo. GAME THEORY (10) on top in a tough race. He struggles to win but put in a much improved effort when last seen at St Arnaud, beaten 1.2 lengths as a $3 hope. This doesn't look any harder and his best form sees him hard to beat. THE CUBAN (2) resumes. He was running well at the end of the last campaign with a couple of consecutive minor placings. Drawn wide but could roll forward and give a sight. DENSETSU (1) resumes. Compared to some of these, he's relatively lightly raced with 14 starts to his name, and his best performances have him firmly in the finish. KAZOTSKY (5) resumes. He wasn't far away when fourth in a stronger race at Corowa last preparation and has to be respected off that. BROMEO (3) has been thereabouts his past two and is in the mix.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Game Theory to win.
7 04:41 Mulwala Water Ski Club BM52 Handicap 1400m
A solid tempo on the cards with Jingu Express heading them off. YONGTAI (7) on top. Her last start effort when second at Wodonga as a $3.20 chance is the best recent bit of form in this field, getting back in the field there and finding the line strongly. Gets a middle draw here and should prove very hard to hold out. She ran past MISS HIMALAYA (8) at Wodonga who was up on speed, boxing on for third. She's got versatility and can look to be positive again from the low gate which will suit. QUICK SPELL (1) won an easier race to take his maiden at Deniliquin last time out. He might be able to go on with it now. JINGU EXPRESS (12) was a bit flat as favourite last time but had been good fresh and can improve. CHAR (2) resumes and can sprint well fresh.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Yongtai to win.
