HARVEY NORMAN COMMERCIAL HANDICAP 1600m
Craft, Caravanserai and Ken'ker can set a good tempo. FLASHY ICON (6) turned in a strong effort first up when he settled well back before running on hard to be beaten just 0.5L over 1400m at Nowra. Suited at the mile and carries 3kg less this grade with an in-form hoop aboard. He can go one better. CRAFT (5) is third up and ready to show his best form. Will find this more suitable than Randwick last time and winning rider Heywood is reunited. CARAVANSERAI (4) registered a comfortable win at Cootamundra before a narrow defeat over 1600m at Goulburn. He is free-running and at the peak of his form. Definitely a player. KEN'KER (7) turned in a better effort finding a place at the Sapphire Coast 5 days ago. This is tougher, but he maps well and carries 3kg less. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Flashy Icon. |

ALLINSURE PLATE 1600m
Genuine tempo with One More Bout and Mr Magnificence up front. GLASTONBURY GIRL (6) couldn't have been more impressive when winning her Maiden at this track by 1.5L over 1400m. Settled back and had to cover plenty of ground before finishing over the top of them. Will be fitter again and the mile is sure to suit. In a smart Sydney yard and she can take the next step. MR MAGNIFICENCE (3) is a local third-up off two solid runs at Albury. He can position forward and won't have to improve much to fight out the finish. HELIGAN (8) was well held last time out in the tougher Geelong Classic won by Azazel over 2200m at Geelong. Ran a decent figure when narrowly beaten this trip from the speed at Moruya prior. He comes back home on a 12-day return, so must be pleasing. PROPHET'S PROMISE (4) is proving hard to catch but has ability and it wouldn't surprise to see him running into the money. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sticking with Glastonbury Girl. |

JOHN LOFTUS HAPPY 90TH BIRTHDAY HANDICAP 1000m
Penrose might not get things her own way up front with a few first starters lining up. Tricky and the betting moves will inform. PENROSE (6) sets the standard, presenting fitter off a narrow defeat at Albury over 900m where she led. Draws perfectly and is sure to take plenty of catching. Wary of EXTRIO (7), who has switched to the local Pepper yard on a 150-day return. Trialled like a cracker before disappointing as a $1.90F at Newcastle and was immediately tipped out. Has an in-form rider booked and no surprise to see her wound right up for 'Cup day'. STAKEHOLDER (3) debuts for a top Sydney stable and has shown plenty at the trials. The gate is a bit awkward, but expect the son of Capitalist to be good enough to manage. FLYING CORSAIR (1) debuts and was close up in his latest Canberra trial. Has the inside barrier and Heywood's engagement interests. SKIBIDI (2) is another local on debut and has also trialled well enough to consider. SUGGESTED PLAY: Penrose has the race fitness. |

TAB FEDERAL ROAD TO THE CHEST 1300m
Moderate tempo with Good Prize leading the way and a few others keeping in touch. An open contest. VERMICELLA (9) brings strong form and resumes after 79 days with a tick over trial. She's right up to this at best and has won 2/3 first up. Maps for a soft run and Mathew Cahill is a key jockey engagement. The betting will be key. Ditto with MOUNTAIN CHATTER (8), who resumes and has switched to the Nick Olive yard. He also performs fresh and brings compelling form from the back of his previous preparation. He draws wide, but an in-form rider is booked. CHAMPIONS LEAGUE (7) has threatened this level/track both starts this preparation. He will need the pace on, but rates well and will be hitting the line hard. FANGELA (2) is third-up and has a handy 2kg claim. He will be around the mark putting his best foot forward. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Vermicella. |

CARPET ONE HANDICAP 1200m
Solid tempo with Whiskey George leading from Teylu and Noctua. FORCEFILLY (11) bounced straight back winning comfortably over 1200m at Bathurst. Positioned forward and can do the same here from an inside barrier. Thrown in keeping the 4kg claim, and can get the job done again. CALLENEM THRU (13) was sent out a hot favourite last time and scored by a long neck at this track. Made amends for the narrow first-up defeat at the track and has plenty of scope for improvement. Leading player again. SUPAIRO (7) is in a top Sydney stable and is busting to win. Missed a whisker in a 66 at Muswellbrook last time and is back a touch in grade. NOCTUA (9) deserved her 60 win here and will be fitter again. The wide gate makes it a tougher task today. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Forcefilly. |

SEEARS WORKWEAR PLATE 1300m
Solid tempo with Purple Rose leading from Lovehunter and Run Raymond Run. PROVISEUR (1) resumes and has raced in stronger metropolitan company all five race starts. He's in a top Sydney stable and showed plenty early doors. Only has to be near that level to be winning, and Mathew Cahill is a positive jockey engagement. PURPLE ROSE (9) resumes and is also in a strong Sydney barn. She's switched and was unlucky not to have cracked a win in her maiden preparation. She presents off trial wins at Hawkesbury and Randwick, and the speedy mare will skip over and likely lead. She's feared. SILVER TOUCH (12) debuts for a leading local yard and missed a whisker in a recent trial at the track. Expect her to race well. The in-form Seib yard has the debutant GO COMMANDO (4) engaged and will likely scratch a fancied stablemate. Has a wide gate but trialled well enough at Rosehill recently to consider. SUGGESTED PLAY: Proviseur appeals most. |

CAPITAL TROPHIES & SPORTSWEAR HANDICAP 1000m
Just a moderate tempo without an obvious speed influence. A plain 50 to end the program. SHE'S HIGH SOCIETY (4) is in the premier local stable and looks well placed to win. Won a 58 here and then came back and wasn't beaten far in a 60. Has to lug more weight dropping in grade but can get the job done. PROPHET TIME (9) has been threatening another win and rates well in this line-up. Maps for a soft run and an in-form jockey is engaged. YOU WISH (8) resumes with two trials under the saddle. Flies fresh and finally draws an inside gate. Has the ability and the betting will be key. BEAU ROCK (6) has a handy 2kg claim and races well at home. The veteran will be around the mark. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing She's High Society. |
