NUM TIME COMMENT
1 12:45 I98FM'S FEEL GOOD FUN MAIDEN PLATE 1000m
Not a great deal of pressure likely in the small field, with Apollo Ridge a potential leader. UNCLE BARRY (2) last appeared over this distance three runs back when beaten in a photo at this track, closing the race off with great purpose. Has done okay in two subsequent runs over 900m. The one to beat back to this more suitable journey. APOLLO RIDGE (1) returns from a 172-day spell. Opened last prep with a close second over this distance at Wyong after leading most of the way. Has won two recent trials so looks set for a big start to the campaign. BOLD ALLIANCE (6) is a Bivouac filly on debut. Two recent trials have been very good. No surprise to see an immediate impact. DON'T DOUBT DARCY (3) is a D'Argento three-year-old on debut. Has trialled twice and won them both so he looks to have his share of talent. HINZEL (4) is another first starter who is doing enough in the trials to suggest he can do something here.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Tricky little race - leaning to the race experience of Uncle Barry.
2 01:25 THE JANSZ TASMANIA MIDWAY 3YO MAIDEN PLATE 1400m
No recognised leader so Deep Affection could find herself in front.  RATIFY (4) started at 100/1 but caught the eye in the closing stages on debut last start over this distance at Warwick Farm, finishing fourth after making up about five lengths in the run home. Drops 1kg after the claim in an easier maiden. Ideally placed to break through. DASHING DOUBLE (1) settled back in the field and made no impression last time out over 1500m at Newcastle. Best figures measure up so off a 33-day freshen up he is worth another chance. LIGHTNESS (7) has not raced since failing on debut over 1250m at Canterbury in June. Trialled well at Hawkesbury recently and in this modest affair is capable of featuring. LUMA LIGHT (8) enjoyed the new role of leader least start when runner-up at Canberra. May prove hard to catch under a light weight if the same tactics are employed. SACHI (10) was just fair first-up at Nowra but she can improve over an extra furlong today.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Ratify to win.
3 02:00 GO HIRE THE EVENT PEOPLE CG&E MAIDEN HANDICAP 1200m
Moderate tempo with Rewrite leading the way.  REWRITE (2) showed good natural speed then fought on well for second on debut last start over 1000m at Hawkesbury. Better for that hit-out and with the winkers on over an extra 200m today he looks a great chance to go one better. SPONARS (3) has raced twice this prep and found the line well to fill a minor placing on each occasion. Gets out over more ground now which is ideal. Beautifully drawn and looms as the obvious threat. PERFECT APPLE (11) raced wide so his tiring ninth when resuming over this distance at Rosehill can be forgiven. Freshened up and from a nice gate this time can improve sharply. AGENT ZERO (12) returns from a five-month spell. Wasn't far off them in the three runs of his maiden campaign. Now a gelding which might be the making of him. SUPERMASSIVE (6) debuts for Waterhouse/Bott. Snitzel gelding who trialled well recently at Randwick. In the mix with the help of a favourable draw.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Rewrite.
4 03:15 JACK PRIMMER ELECTRONICS F&M MAIDEN HANDICAP 1200m
Expecting Purple Rose to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint trip.  FRANKELY SUBLIME (1) made steady inroads to finish runner-up when resuming over 1250m at Newcastle last start. Gets a few gear changes today which is interesting. Coming back 50m isn't ideal but she looks to be in good order and can improve off that first-up effort. ALABAMA HUSSY (14) missed the kick then made up a little late ground without threatening first-up over this distance at Nowra. In the money here at this distance when second-up last prep. Can make plenty of progress off that latest effort. ME ME (3) is back after a six-month break. Raced just twice last prep and attacked the line with purpose on each occasion to get up for second in 1200m maidens. Expecting another forward showing. PURPLE ROSE (6) returns from a 20-week break. In the money three of five in the maiden prep. The winner of two recent trials so she looks ready to go. MILLY MOLLY MANDY (9) was a bit plain at Orange last time but can do better with the blinkers back on.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Frankely Sublime to break through.
5 03:55 HENRY CLIVE BAR BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP 1000m
Keen tempo headed by Goldane.  Nice race with a few strong form lines. GOLDANE (6) has not appeared since her effortless victory on debut over 900m at Newcastle in January when well supported. Two recent trial wins have been outstanding. Looks ready to run a big race despite the long lay-off. DESI EMPEROR (2) led for home and gave a kick under his big weight before being overwhelmed close to home last start 1300m at Newcastle. Won't mind coming back in trip today and with 1.5kgs less after the claim can give backers a sight. POINT SCORE (4) quickened nicely to record an impressive win here at this trip last time out when second-up from a spell. Perfectly drawn and won't find this a great deal harder. Big chance again. TEQUILA BABY (5) last raced in April when an easy winner over 1100m at Hawkesbury, the only outing of that prep. Two trials in October should have her ready for a positive return. CORDINA (7) is back from a six-month break. Bolted in on debut to kick off last prep - should come to hand quickly.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen to be with Goldane.
6 04:40 WIN NETWORK PROVINCIAL BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP 1600m
Genuine tempo from Hardpoint leading Direct Fire.  DIRECT FIRE (1) was left in front a long way from home and couldn't hold out Tom Cruising and one other in the closing stages over 1500m here last start. Cherry ripe now after four runs back and is going to be difficult to run down. HARDPOINT (3) raced handy and gave a good kick but was edged out when resuming over 1400m here back on 27 September. Trialled since then at Hawkesbury to keep him up to the mark. Good second-up performer who loves this trip and races well at Kembla. Big chance to go one better. WINNING POINT (4) travelled midfield but probably found 1400m a bit sharp when second-up here recently. Should be getting close to her peak, particularly over an extra furlong this time. MISS HVAR (7) was ridden closer to the speed last start and responded by scoring a soft win over 1500m at Hawkesbury. Can hold that form at just the fourth run back. TOM CRUISING (9) caused an upset winning here over 1500m recently. In the mix again.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Direct Fire each-way.
7 05:20 MORETTI CONSTRUCTIONS KEMBLA GRANGE CUP BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP 1200m
A solid tempo on the cards with Autumn Blonde leading the way.  CAN'T TOUCH THIS (11) returned to form last start with an all-the-way win over this distance at Nowra. Can be a little hard to catch but is a very handy mare when on-song. Well drawn and should be prominent for a long way. WRITTEN SCANDAL (5) produced an eye-catcher first-up over 900m at Newcastle then was a bit flat second-up at Warwick Farm. Scored comfortably third-up last prep over 1100m at Gosford so she can turn things around. POINT SCORE (19) improved sharply last time out when second-up from a spell, closing well to score over 1000m at this track. Saves his best for this circuit and at this early stage of the campaign can win again. COPACABANA (3) is back from nearly a year on the sidelines. Placed three from three when fresh and a couple of strong recent trials suggest things are on track. AUTUMN BLONDE (6) just faded in the closing stages at Newcastle last start. In the mix in this suitable race.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Can't Touch This can win again.
8 05:55 COLOURITE PAINTING CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1400m
Valiant Bomb, Viktor and Greyt Thinker to take up the running at a strong tempo.  PIMLICO (6) stalked the pace then after a stirring battle just got the cash in a 1200m maiden here ten days ago. Has only raced four times so there is plenty of improvement to come. Can win again in this tougher contest. ZOUCRATIC (5) also registered his maiden win last time out at the fourth attempt, getting home by half a length over 1250m at Newcastle. Only third-up today so don't expect him to be going backwards at this stage. Bjorn Baker's VIKTOR (2) is back from a six-month break. Closed last prep with a big win over this trip in a Mudgee maiden of questionable quality. Trialled twice so should be up for this. VALIANT BOMB (7) settled just off the speed then worked home well for third when resuming over 1250m at Newcastle recently. Genuine four-year-old who scored easily at this stage last prep. Right in contention. STORM SEASON (1) resumes. Opened last prep with a win over today's journey at Pakenham so must be respected.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Pimlico each-way in a competitive race.
