Motlop Constructions TROBIS Handicap 1300m
Astern Magic should lead at a slick tempo. TIME TO BACA (4) won a Maiden and then was well fancied last start over 1000m in stronger company, but didn't get into it after spotting them a big start. Draws out today and keeps the handy 3kg claim. A return to form is expected over the longer sprint and with the blinkers on for the first time. SIGNOR BILL (2) needed the run following the switch from a Victorian stable and then improved sharply beaten a whisker in a CL2. Nicely placed to go one better. SABOR (3) is third up and is showing enough to consider. Has been kept on the fresh side and the inside barrier is there to use. NO I'M NOT (6) was plain last time but her Maiden win three back stacks up. Not to be taken lightly. SUGGESTED PLAY: With Time To Baca. |

BTC Constructions Handicap 1300m
Just a moderate tempo given the absence of pacy gallopers. BOLDINHO (1) keeps winning comfortably for the top stable (Clarke) and carries weight. Has been backed off the map his last three, and it's hard to go past him again. PEEL THE STICKERS (5) switched from a Victorian barn and went close first-up in a 76. Has 3kg weight relief and has won second-up. Suited over the longer sprint and is certainly good enough at best. Keep very safe. Stablemate CONVINCEBILITY (2) was tracking well before a plain effort last time. Maps well and also carries 3kg less. Has to be considered. AWASH (3) has to drop back from the mile, but he always puts in and should be around the mark. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boldinho can keep the ball rolling. |

Ladbrokes Popular SRM Maiden Plate 1200m
Strong tempo with Good Onya Darl and Juelene leading the way over Sass. SASS (7) switched from a top Sydney stable and progressed nicely last time out to finish just 0.8 lengths from the winner over 1300m. She's sure to have come on from that and is nicely placed to find winning ways. JUELENE (5) maps well and is busting to win. Will be right in it if she puts her best foot forward. JUST ALBERT (1) went close at Tatura (Victoria) first-up and then switched barns on a 25-day return and looked a run short here as favourite. He's right up to this and has to be seriously considered. GOOD ONYA DARL (4) is a former Victorian who presents fourth up off a 42-day freshen. Has the rail and the top hoop and some key gear changes. The betting should provide the best guide with her. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Sass. |

Chris Williams Jewellers Handicap 1100m
Genuine tempo with Tigers Roar to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. ALL INCLUSIVE (1) resumes for the premier yard and has won 2/3 fresh. Expect him to be wound up and Todd's booking adds to the confidence. Maps to get every chance and he is a solid each-way proposition. FAST FREEZE (2) was seeking the hat-trick last start but didn't quite finish it off in a 64 over longer. She will be sharper today and expect her to get back on track. ACHACHA (7) deserved the win this grade over 1000m. Finds a suitable race and should be in the finish again. MISS BLACK DIAMOND (5) placed behind the above first-up and is improved. Has placed 4/5 second up and fitter is in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: All Inclusive each-way. |

BKM Projects Mile 1600m
Just a moderate pace anticipated. VIERI (1) raced on the speed and lifted to score by a head this trip to continue his outstanding recent form. Carries more weight back in grade but rates to deliver the hat-trick. THE ALBION (4) scored by 1L last start over this journey in a 58. Was quickly back on track and flies this course and distance. Maps for the run of the race and Todd is a key jockey engagement. JULY (3) doesn't win very often but ran a nice race last time out over 1300m at this track. Steps up to a mile for the first time and gets in well with the 3kg claim. Worth keeping onside. BEAU FACTOR (2) was plain last time but his effort prior in a 70 would have him in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Vieri appeals most. |
