TAB WE'RE ON Maiden Plate 1900m
Solid tempo headed by Smelter and Maravich. MARAVICH (4) is third up for the new stable and the former Victorian is well placed in this contest. He can use the low barrier and didn't have the best of it at Ipswich last time. MR CROWNING MOMENT (7) found a place over longer on a heavy track at the Sunshine Coast. He's in good hands, and Wiggins is a positive jockey booking. Better suited here and is a hope. FRANKEL MOON (2) goes well here and will be better for the first-up run. Draws inside and will get every chance over a suitable trip. SMELTER (5) resumes and has some form that would see him competitive. Has raced over staying trips, so kicking off over 1900m shouldn't be an issue. ARTSPACE (1) won't be far away if he puts his best foot forward. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Maravich. |

SILKS UNDER THE STARS MAY 23RD BENCHMARK 58 Handicap 2000m
Solid tempo with Onomatopoeia leading from Force Me and Epic Flash. WATERMELON (4) improved sharply back on the poly blitzing the 60 graders by 4.8L over 1900m. That was expected, and he can go right on with the job. KAREEM (2) has gone close here at his last two. Gives every indication that the step up in distance will suit. SMOKIN MATCH (7) brings a CL1 win from Toowoomba this distance range. Maps well, and the 3kg claim is handy. He should be right in it. FORCE ME (11) led and won on a heavy track at Kilcoy, and that stacks up. Has to replicate that on the poly surface but she gets in light. PRINCETON AWARD (6) missed a nose here over a bit longer in better grade, but the awkward barrier is against. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Watermelon. |

ON POINT UTILITY LOCATING Maiden Plate 1100m
Solid tempo with several going forward headed by Leica Pherrari. ENHANCE (3) resumes for a sharp local barn, and the form is compelling. Her trials have been top-notch, and Lloyd stacks from the latest. MARATHIA (10) peaks off a 1L defeat here. Has a 3kg claim and will use an inside barrier. The yard gets plenty of winners here, and she's a danger. STARSARISE (8) resumes and has placed 2/2 fresh. She's switched from a NSW barn, and the form reads well enough. PADAM PADAM (2) has a 2kg claim and races forward. In the mix if he found his best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Like Enhance. |

SUMMIT GLAZING SOLUTIONS BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1200m
Expecting Beat Hollow to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sharp trip. SMART RECOGNITION (2) won three back and has threatened the two since. Went close here this grade on the course proper last time, and racing forward will go close. MA'S EPIC (6) has been racing in stronger in town. Won this grade comfortably at Warwick prior, and the 3kg claim is handy. Needs a good ride pushing forward from the wide gate. LIMAHULI (5) has also been racing well enough in town and jumps from an inside gate. He's also a chance. ZOUTHUR (11) draws awkwardly but won the 55 here by a space and will run along and give a sight. SUGGESTED PLAY: With Smart Recognition. |

LIPPIATT CANNING LONG LUNCH BENCHMARK 70 Handicap 1540m
Keen battle for the lead with Pagato, Grinzinger Knight and Hulkamania in advance of Dunloe and All's Fair. Competitive. GRINZINGER KNIGHT (2) is a leader who won a 68 at Ipswich before a near miss at Doomben in much stronger than this. He's back a bit in trip, kept on the fresh side, and the 3kg claim brings him right into it. SURREAL I AM (11) resumed with an easy 62 win here and has weight relief. Fitter and has claims. ALL'S FAIR (3) beat the above home last time and, despite the awkward gate, deserves consideration. DUNLOE (5) is capable of better than what he produced first up. Boasts strong second up credentials and improvement is expected. SUGGESTED PLAY: Grinzinger Knight appeals most. |

TAB HOLLINDALE STAKES DAY MAY 10TH BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1540m
Slick pace with Gregarious finding the front but it won't be a picnic with a few other speedy types engaged. Wide open on paper. RYLOV (2) disappointed here last time but brought decent form to that and is worth another chance. Represents an in-form yard, and the extra metres should suit. The 3kg claim brings him into it. BIRMINGHAM (13) spiked his figures, winning easily on the Sunshine Coast poly. The 3kg claimer has to manage a wide gate, but he's a chance if that works out. AS EXPECTED (11) peaks for the Robl yard and can be in the finish with average luck in the run. CLIPPER SHIP (4) didn't compete on the heavy track at Toowoomba, but his form prior reads well enough. Finds easier company, and Wiggins' engagement is a positive. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Rylov. |

ECOVIS CLARK JACOBS BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1100m
Guerrera to set a strong early tempo joined by Spiethtacular pushing on from an outside draw. Tricky. MISS SHU (5) resumes for a sharp local barn and has impressed at the trials. Races well here and has won over the distance. A bold return is likely. PRIVATE TENDER (2) is another local on resumption. Rates well and is proven first-up. Has trialled twice and will use the inside barrier. SPIETHTACULAR (9) led and belted the Maidens here by 3.5L. She was heavily bet again, and will keep improving. Has to skip across from a cruel barrier and that;s the niggle. GUERRERA (10) has been knocking on the door and is in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Miss Shu if the betting suggests stable confidence. |
