The Bentley Group Maiden Plate 1000m
Moderate tempo with Fat Bottom Girl leading the way and a few others keeping in touch. FAT BOTTOM GIRL (7) hinted with a good first-up run that she had come back better than previous campaigns and it's worth noting she didn't have a jumpout or trial leading into that so she should be significantly better for it. REDEMPTION TIME (8) has been a frustration for connections, having not been able to crack it for a win after 18 starts but figuring in the placings on eight occasions. Hard to tip with confidence but is a must for quinellas and trifectas. WHATA STRETCH (3) is another who has trialled well and hasn't missed a First 4 slot in his past six starts. COOL CHARLIE (1) needs to lift to be a winning hope, but should be better for the first-up run. SUGGESTED PLAY: Fat Bottom Girl each way. |

bet365 Maiden Plate 1200m
Expecting Skyler's Princess to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. PETROULA (11) only beat one home last start, but was still only beaten less than 2.5 lengths and that was dropping back to 1000m. Suited by returning to 1200m this weekend and drawn to lob in a prominent position. SILVER SNOW (4) has drawn poorly and was never a factor on debut but had trialled well in the lead-up to that so happy to give another chance. ATTACHMENTS (7) has also only been seen once for a fifth placing, but was put away after that and there was a lot to like about a recent Donald jumpout win. IMMORTAL JUSTICE (9) was an improver last start and has the right man aboard - Dean Yendall - to help overcome the tricky gate. XIGUOUS EQUUS (2) has been around the mark at two starts to date. SUGGESTED PLAY: Petroula to win. |

Pony Xpress Maiden Plate 2000m
Not expecting them to go too hard. HARD BOB (3) stepped up to 2000m for the first time this prep last campaign and only narrowly went down. With the benefit of that run, the inside alley and Dean Yendall aboard, he will never get a better chance to break through. DANZAGRUNT (6) was comfortably held by Hard Bob last start but only found one better the start prior and should be at peak fitness after three runs back. DOLLAR BUCKS (2) has had more than enough chances - 46 to be exact - but can pull out a run so needs to be considered a place chance. ADJUDICATE (5) showed improvement up in trip last start and should be further aided the extra distance here. SUGGESTED PLAY: Hard Bob straight out. |

Warrack Motel 0 - 58 Handicap 2000m
Pace looks sure to be genuine with Okesutora and Hasta La Prince matching motors, closely followed by Savvy Thinker. NO MATTER WHAT (11) was a pass mark when resuming then went close when beaten just over half-a-length second up. Fitter for those two runs and looks even more suited up to this trip now. OKESUTORA (8) ran well at his first three runs this time in at around a mile then improved last time out up to 2000m. Should be at peak fitness for this and the jockey has options from the draw. EYES TO ME (2) hinted he was in for a good prep with a good first-up run but got no favours at the barrier draw. BALTIC WAY (1) has some ground to make up on Okesutora from their last start but is a consistent type who has drawn well. SUGGESTED PLAY: No Matter What to win. |

Thanks Johnno & Jono 0 - 64 Hcp 1200m
Expecting Stargust to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint course. BIG OPTION (1) has been in outstanding form this time in and the second placing in a $50k race at Murray Bridge two back looks good form for this. STARGUST (3) will find this tougher than the debut win but it's hard to knock winning form. SNIPPETY LEGEND (8) has hardly put a foot wrong all prep, so reluctant to dismiss. MATROOSHI (9) was put away after a good maiden win late last year and has looked good at the jumpouts in preparation for this. SUGGESTED PLAY: Big Option win. |

Warrack Concrete 0 - 58 Hcp 1000m
Strong tempo, primarily from Shimshalar and Toojay. Veteran speedster RAGING MONKEY (8) will find this 0-58 contest more to his liking than recent outings. Last six starts have been in BM64 grade or higher, including a last-start second placing at Donald when beaten less than half-a-length. A repeat of that would give this a shake. SHIMSHALAR (6) hasn't finished out of the top two at her past three and while two of those were across the border in SA, two back she ran well at Edenhope in a similar class of race to this. BEAUKATI (3) resumes and three of her four wins have come when resuming so she needs to be respected on that fact alone. FIRST DIVISION (10) wasn't beaten far last time and can bob up here with a repeat of that. SUGGESTED PLAY: Raging Monkey each way. |

Emmetts Warracknabeal Cup 1600m
Dark Harmony should spear straight to the front of the small field. JABBAWOCKEEZ (2) is at his best with the sting out of the ground, which he's unlikely to get, but has the class to be a factor even on a Good track. EL JAMES (5) is a progressive type who has been aggressively placed, which looks to be a good push from the stable that he has come back well. ANGRY SKIES (3) is much better than recent runs but needs to be taken on trust. DARK HARMONY (6) the best of the rest. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Jabbawockeez. |

Taylor's Palace Hotel After the Last 0 - 58 Hcp 1600m
Little early speed on offer so Timeonlees should be prominent. TIMEONLEES (6) was more than acceptable first-up and then showed good improvement second-up and looks ready for 1600m here. SUGAR AND SWEET (2) boasts a fitness edge on a number of the main chances and is also drawn well. WHISPERING PHARAOH (3) can improve with the fitness gained from the OK first-up run. PENSLEY (11) next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Timeonlees to win. |
