BNCC SECURITY SERVICES COUNTRY BOOSTED MAIDEN PLATE 1200m
Strong tempo expected with Mars Landing, Moroccan Thunder and Mum Knows prominent. MARS LANDING (9) improved his position mid-race then fought on well despite some interference in the straight to be beaten just 1.6 lengths on debut over 1010m at this track last start. Should appreciate the extra ground and looks the one to beat despite being a two-year-old taking on all comers. MOROCCAN THUNDER (3) improves at each appearance, the latest offering a closing second over 1000m at Tamworth. Cherry-ripe at the third run back and the extra furlong should work in his favour. RELEASETHEWOLVES (7) hasn't been far away at her two runs to date and getting out over a bit more ground should suit. SAME TERMS (8) found the line well at Taree recently and can improve again at just her third run. MUM KNOWS (6) has been freshened up and can run well again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Mars Landing. |

MACAS MECHANICAL REPAIRS MAIDEN HANDICAP 1000m
Angelinthenightsky will stride forward but there are few first starters who can keep her busy. CASHAWAY GOLD (7) is a new arrival in the Angela Davies stable and is back from a ten-month spell. Ran well first-up at Gosford last prep before losing her way. Betting will hold the key but if she is forward enough this looks a nice race to kick off the campaign. JUSTICE WARRIOR (1) returns from a 169-day break and has been gelded. Opened last prep with a minor placing over 1200m at this track. Placed three from five overall and might be the big improver. SIVO (3) last appeared when beaten two lengths over this distance at Grafton on 6 November. Opened the last prep with a placing here at this trip. Must be respected from the favourable draw. TOUCHATISM (6) was spelled after a poor debut over today's journey at Wyong in October. Won a recent Hawkesbury trial so might come up better this time. Kris Lees' first starter CHISATO (11) went okay in a recent Muswellbrook trial. Should go well with the help of an inside gate. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Cashaway Gold at the value. |

PORT CITY BREAKERS EASTER RACE DAY 19 APRIL MAIDEN HANDICAP 1500m
Foo Fighter to take up the running with Tawfiq Tom and Imarealamerican close at hand. IMAREALAMERICAN (1) made significant progress last start with a step up in distance, boxing on well to finish second in a $50k maiden over 1400m at Wellington. Won't find this quite as tough and the extra trip helps. Ready to break the ice. FOO FIGHTER (7) has been freshened up by Matthew Dunn since a tiring eighth over the mile at Eagle Farm a month ago. Returned a couple of nice figures in slightly longer races than this at Grafton earlier in the prep. Winning chance if ready to show his best. PRINCE IS GAME (9) stoked up late to grab third when returning from a spell over 1312m at Taree recently. Has scope to improve off that run so keep him in mind. TAWFIQ TOM (5) started warm favourite but found a couple better when resuming on a heavy track here last start. Better for that run and should give a good account. NEVIIM (2) will be better for the run but can sneak into the frame first-up from a 131-day lay-off. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Imarealamerican. |

JOHN OXLEY MOTORS F&M CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1100m
Without should find the front with Shoutaboutit and Body Of Venus on her heels. SHOUTABOUTIT (5) is back after a four-month lay-off. Raced well last prep on the provincial circuit, the highlight an all-the-way maiden win over this distance at Hawkesbury. Expecting her to come back and take it up a level this campaign. BODY OF VENUS (8) returned from a 254-day spell and was having her first run under Nathan Doyle when a solid third in heavy going at the Beaumont track last time out. Comes back in trip which is the negative but with a bit more fitness on her side she should perform well again. HOO HAA (7) last appeared when midfield over 1400m at Newcastle seven weeks ago. This is short of her best but while fresh she can play a role with the aid of a perfect draw. MAGGIE SPARKLES (9) gets back but can run on into the frame without surprising. COCO DREAMING (1) is trialling well and looks ready to make a bright return despite the big weight. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Shoutaboutit and Body Of Venus. |

CARLTON DRY 3.5% CG&E CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1100m
Genuine tempo with Bold Design and Pride Of Lanka up front. VALENTINO PRINCE (11) has been racing at the provincials this prep with mixed results. Best effort was two back over 1200m at Newcastle when third after being handy all the way. Beautifully drawn and back in this grade he is the leading contender in a very open race. BOLD DESIGN (6) led from barrier rise and showed great determination to hold on and score on debut last time out over 1007m at Taree. Should roll forward and give backers a great sight. KING SOLEIL (3) returned from a fifteen-week break with a commanding maiden win over 1007m at Taree recently. Has always shown ability and that win will do wonders for his confidence. One to follow. SIBELIUS (8) is back from a three-month spell for a new stable. Didn't come up last prep but his best form reads well. Market watch advised. VIA VEGAS (13) was six weeks between runs when in the money last start at Taree. Second run for the new stable so can improve further. SUGGESTED PLAY: Valentino Prince each-way in a tough one. |

VEECH PLUMBING CLASS 3 HANDICAP 1000m
Cool Fizz and Parmenio can be prominent. SO YOU SUGGEST (12) started a move before the corner then went on to record a tough win when resuming from an eleven-month break over this trip at Taree last start. Lightly raced mare who is eligible for easier races but she gets in nicely and has plenty of scope for improvement. The speedy COOL FIZZ (7) drove hard through the line to just prevail last time out in a BM58 over this distance at Taree. Genuine mare who has a 67% top three strike rate. Drawn ideally and should be in the finish again. MR TRACKSIDE (8) began poorly and was never in contention at his latest run over today's journey at Muswellbrook. Nine runs now at this trip without a placing which is a concern. Each-way only. EGOTISTIC (10) returned from a lengthy break with an encouraging third over 1106m at Grafton recently. All three wins have come at five furlongs. Fitter and sure to be thereabouts. YENDY (1) is back from a 191-day lay-off. Two recent trials should have her ready to run well. SUGGESTED PLAY: So You Suggest to win again. |

MACQUARIE SIGNS BENCHMARK 66 HANDICAP 1200m
Strong pace from Yalla, Talana and Auzstar. LOVE CHILD (10) had a two-month break and a change of trainer before her tough all-the-way win last start over this distance at the Beaumont circuit. Failed as a miler under Waller but is being kept to sprinting with Milligan it seems. Can get the job done again. KING LARRY (9) has been about the money all prep without winning, the latest effort a moderate fourth as $2.30 public elect over this trip at Tamworth. That followed a five-week break so he is open to plenty of improvement. SAVILLE STREET (4) switched from the Hayes yard to Terry Evans before his failure last start over 1262m at Taree. Fitter for that run and can improve sharply. IMPERIAL HILTON (3) resumes. Good fresh performer who was going around in better races than this last prep. YALLA (15) resumes. Trialling well and has a decent first-up record. Worth monitoring for market support. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Love Child to win. |

G KEFT ELECTRICAL COUNTRY BOOSTED BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1500m
A solid tempo is on the cards with Artelimar and Spills pushing for the lead ahead of Razella and Seething Chuck. RAZELLA (13) has turned the corner since a switch to Wayne Wilkes this prep. Won her maiden first-up at Taree then did her best work late but found a couple better over 1414m at the same track last start. Had a forty-four-day gap between runs on that occasion so she strips fitter this time. Leading contender. MOSGIEL DAISY (4) found a Class 3 over 1450m at Muswellbrook a bit rich last time out. Ran two nice races at BM66 level prior to that which reads well. Very fit and ready to peak coming back to a BM58. SUN TOPAZE (16) charged home late and just arrived in time recently in a Class 1 over 1700m at Grafton. Back in trip but should be getting home over the top. HE'S A COPY BOY (3) flew late but just ran out of ground when resuming over 1410m at Grafton last start. Hasn't won for a long while but can build on that encouraging return. SPIRITLY (9) has been hot and cold of late. Has a win and a second from his last three in BM58 races so this looks a nice assignment. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Razella and Mosgiel Daisy. |
