NUM TIME COMMENT
1 12:56 LEN MILNER MEMORIAL Maiden Handicap 1100m
Cracking tempo looks assured with many of these capable of pushing on early. UNIVERSAL HARMONY (1) has changed stables since his last start at Cranbourne in December. The form that he showed down South is more than good enough for him to win a race in this area at short notice. OKANUI (5) ran his best race yet when finishing third at a recent Dalby picnic meeting nearly 3 weeks ago. He has 5.5kg less to carry here, and another solid effort can be expected. SHEZA ALIBI (6) is making her debut and won her only public trial on this track under her own steam. Each way. FANCY LEGEND (7) is resuming off a long spell and was last racing in NSW. He has a home track advantage and the market will be your best guide.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Universal Harmony to win.
2 01:31 CREATIVE CATER QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1200m
Looks a keen contest with Zelezny and Capricornus pressing for the lead with Starward and Billy Boom close at hand. BILLY BOOM (5) won a trial before being shut out of a gap fresh up at the Sunshine Coast 19 days ago. He will find this easier, and with the advantage of the pole position, he can set the record straight. On top. STARWARD (2) only battled over the final stages at the Sunshine Coast in the same race as the top pick, finishing third. He is better placed over 1100m for now, and with Justin P Stanley in the saddle, he is among the hardest to beat. MISS ELOTAN (10) was showing some promise at the trials and is heading the right way in a couple of starts. She will be peaking third up, and an extra 150m is ideal. Each way claims this time. ZELEZNY (6) stuck on gamely as favourite when finishing runner-up at Mackay 10 days ago. He seems to prefer a wet track, and with conditions to suit, he can have a say in the outcome of this race. CAPRICORNUS (1) finished an encouraging third on debut at Mackay and never gave up in the run to the line that day. Stick with him on an each-way basis.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Billy Boom to win.
3 02:06 MAGIC MILLIONS 2025 COUNTRY CUP BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1600m
Genuine tempo from Legend Of Zorro leading Tricky Beans. LEGEND OF ZORRO (1) has been in solid form on the picnic circuits in the area over shorter trips, and he should relish the step up to a mile here. He is nicely placed in this grade, and the 3kg claim will bring his weight down to a competitive level. Hard to beat. BORS (4) he needed both of his runs back from a spell for a new trainer. Justin P Stanley replaces an apprentice, and if there is some cut in the ground, he can turn his firm right around and win this. MAURICE'S MEDAD (3) seems to prefer the better surfaces and only battled in a tougher field at Toowoomba on a wet track there 6 days ago. He steps back up to a mile and can bounce straight back into the money. YUBETIDO (6) was narrowly beaten into third at Mackay 10 days ago when finishing third over 1200m. His record over a mile is much better, and he is good enough to take this out. GET WHAT YOU GIVE (2) is a consistent gelding at this level and will be trying a mile for the first time. Include in all combinations.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Bors each-way.
4 02:41 GOODY'S EARTHMOVING BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1050m
Lets Dance Jandy and Craiglea Bronte should set a strong tempo. DAIMYO (4) showed plenty of talent when trained in NSW and did not take long to show his best since shifting to the local Nick Walsh stable earlier in the year, scoring here nearly 4 weeks ago by over a length. He stays in the same grade, and even with 5kg more to carry, he can double the dose. CANNY BE BETTER (2) is normally very consistent and carried on with that trend when finishing third fresh up at Mackay just over a month ago. He strips fitter and with the benefit of a 3kg claim, he won't be far away. NICCI DE ROSA (8) finished fourth fresh up at Chinchilla when settled back further than expected. She normally improves quickly with racing and should finish a lot closer this time. MORE STYLISH (9) won at Mackay in her penultimate start before not having much luck here last time out when copping a check. She has won twice over this shorter trip, and is an each-way threat again.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Daimyo to win.
5 03:16 GREAT NORTHERN Class 3 Handicap 1400m
Fast pace with Rideau showing out and Gigi Fille crossing to apply some pressure. RIDEAU (4) battled away for sixth after having a tough run on the Sunshine Coast poly track last start and may prefer the turf surface for now. He won his only start on this track and welcomes the in-form Justin Huxtable back to the saddle. If he can make a better beginning this time, he will be hard to hold out. OUR TURN NOW (3) should have finished closer to the winner when resuming from a spell but was held up at a vital stage. The extra furlong will help, and having Ryan Wiggins replace an apprentice will also be a plus. Stick with him. NEW LEVEL (2) has not quite reached the mark in 4 starts this prep, including a couple of starts for new trainer Glenda Bell. He has a senior hoop back in the saddle and is worth one more chance. LATIN LOVE (10) has continued to improve with racing and made it 2 wins on the bounce here nearly 4 weeks ago, scoring by a neck. The hat-trick beckons. JUPITUS (1) was a beaten favourite in his first start from the local Ricky Vale stable. Go again.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Our Turn Now each-way.
6 03:56 TAB BENCHMARK 70 Handicap 1100m
Mr Encore and Early Fusion can be prominent. DIDDLEY SQUAT (2) gave a good sight for a long way when finishing runner-up by a short-head here nearly 4 weeks ago. He drops a kilo, and with 100m less to travel this time, he can take them all the way. DOUBTING EYE (1) trekked to the city 10 days ago and was not too far away at Doomben. He is better placed on this track, and over 1100m, he can bounce straight back into the money. MR ENCORE (7) can show a lot of pace early on at times and was only bloused out late at the Sunshine Coast nearly 7 weeks ago. Ryan Wiggins gets on well with him and the pair can go one better this time. LAST DITCH EFFORT (9) will be peaking third up and has Justin Huxtable in the saddle this time. A good draw will see him in the finish. EARLY FUSION (6) might need the run but is too good to ignore. Include in all combinations.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Diddley Squat to win.
7 04:36 PHIL PEEL JEWELLER Class 1 Handicap 1200m
Lonhy's Fabre has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. BEEN A SECRET (1) has found it hard to win, but she is seldom far from the action. She was just over a length from the winner when running fourth at Toowoomba nearly 4 weeks ago, and Pat Webster does not often trek to this track unless he has a big chance of winning. On top. DETERMINATION (5) did not take long to break through for his first win since joining the Ricky Vale stable, scoring 10 days ago at Mackay. He will improve with more racing and can double the dose. LONHY'S FABRE (6) was put aside after a comfortable win on debut at Mackay in the early spring. He has trialled late last month and will be ready to rumble fresh up. RED BEAUTY (11) made a winning North Queensland debut at Mackay after transferring from Victoria. The step up from 1050m to 1200m is ideal, and she can take the next step immediately. NICCONORI (3) was a brave winner of his first start on this track fresh up after moving from NSW. He cops a wide gate this time, but still has top 3 claims.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Been A Secret to win.
