FLASHING RATE (7) doesn't win out of turn but ran a strong race last time out over 1800m at Kokura, finishing second and beaten a neck after being prominent at the bend. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run this time. MASCULINE (1) performed well last time at Kokura, finishing fourth and only 0.7 lengths from the winner at the end of 1800m after being prominent at the bend. Cherry ripe after two runs back and looms as a genuine threat. WIN LUPINUS (10) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when sixth, beaten 4 lengths, over 1600m at Chukyo. Will strip fitter and prove tough to beat. ROSTICCERE (12) finished fifth over 1800m at Hanshin when resuming last start, beaten only 1.3 lengths after being in contention on the corner. Fitter and sure to run well.
