A race that lacks any real speed so only a modest tempo anticipated. KILE (3) was last at the races when he finished fourth over 2600m at Ohi on January 24. Hasn't scored when fresh from a break but generally races well with three minor placings. Has ability and should be right in the finish. T'S HAKUA (7) turned in a better run last time to finish second over 2000m at Kawasaki after being prominent at the corner. Finds a suitable race and can go on to take this out. COPANO JACKEY (11) turned in a nice effort to score two runs ago at Kawasaki. Less impressive last time out when fifth over 1800m at Ohi. Won't find this as tough so he can play a big role. JOEL (8) has not appeared since he finished sixth at Kawasaki on January 31. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
