No noted leader but Hot Pursuit, I'm Back In Town and I Am Smiling will be prominent. A BOOK OF DAYS (1) is a lightly raced three-year-old who looks ready to win. Started in the red and made a strong late challenge but just missed last time out over 1300m at Bendigo. Getting to this trip is key to his chances. READY TIGER (5) returned from a five-month spell with a game second over this course and distance three weeks ago. Registered a career-best figure on that occasion so with further natural improvement he can go one better. HOT PURSUIT (7) appreciated the step up in distance when beaten under a length over 1300m here recently. Should race handy and will be there at the business end. MARK OF ZORRO (4) returns after a 24-week spell. Only raced once last prep when a moderate fifth over this distance at Pakenham. Draws the fence and cannot be left out. I AM SMILING (8) showed ability in NSW during the maiden prep so this beautifully bred Waller filly must be considered despite coming off a 20-week break. SUGGESTED PLAY: A Book Of Days to break through.
