From wide out Nishino Present, Windstille and Misuzu Thundersnow will surge forward and set up a solid tempo. PAIN DE GENES (11) finished third, beaten 3.5 lengths, over 1800m at this track on debut 11 weeks ago and has been kept under wraps since. Will be better for that race experience and is expected to prove tough to beat. MISUZU THUNDERSNOW (15) is close to a win after a string of minor placings, the latest when third over 1600m at Chukyo when she was handy all the way. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. MALI GARNET (3) has not raced since her debut on January 28 over 1800m at this track when she finished fifth, beaten 3 lengths. Top-three chance with that run under her belt. NISHINO PRESENT (17) is back after a break of three-and-a-half months. At the last run before the lay-off she finished eighth over 1600m at Nakayama. Likely improver who should be in the mix.
