A Thousand Kisses, Becky Sharp and Black Hole Sun to match motors but there will be plenty of pressure from other quarters. SPIRIT GUIDE (6) showed some improvement in her last start over 1100m on this course when finishing third of nine. It must be noted that the winner of that race has come out and won again since. The manner in which she stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. She is a progressive type and rates well as the leading chance. CHARLENE (11) resumes from a spell having placed in her last two starts. If not in need of the run she can return in winning form. FUTURE STAR (8) resumes from a spell having finished fifth over 1000m at Durbanville last start in what was her only run last prep. Racing over a longer trip today has definite each-way claims. COTONOU (16) finished seventh of 13 over 1200m at this track last time out but was only beaten 2.5 lengths. No surprise to see her in the mix.
