Expecting La Ruelle to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. Grade 2 placegetter COSTA BONITA (1) hit the frame at first two runs this campaign then was out of the placings last time when fifth over 1800m in the G3 Nakayama Himba Stakes. Draws a far better gate than last time and looks sure to run well. SHINRYOKUKA (15) is a Grade 1 placegetter who turned in a sound effort last time but found a couple better in the G3 Nakayama Himba Stakes over 1800m, beaten 0.7 lengths. That run should have her rock-hard fit now. Tricky draw but should still be in the finish. GRAND BERNADETTE (16) has not appeared since she got the cash over 2000m at Nakayama on January 20. Unproven at this level but has to be respected. WIN PYXIS (8) finished 13th over 2000m in the G3 Aichi Hai at Kokura at her most recent appearance on January 13. Good fresh performer who can make her presence felt.
