Expecting Hiruno Chopin to set a genuine tempo after crossing from wide out. OMEGA CAPTAIN (6) resumes in a similar race to his only run last prep 11 weeks ago when he scored by 1.3 lengths. Has a superb record here at the journey with two wins and a 100% top-three strike rate. The one to beat. SHADOW FURY (7) has returned in good shape this preparation. Opened with a second here two starts back then got the job done by 0.8 lengths as public elect last time out over 1400m at this track. This looks a sterner test than last time but on current form he is capable of testing his rivals. MANDOLONE (14) resumes in a similar race to her only run last prep back on February 10 when ninth, beaten 4 lengths. Has a solid record here at the distance with two wins and a minor placing from four tries. One of the main contenders. HIRUNO CHOPIN (11) improved sharply last time out to score by 0.8 lengths over 1600m at Hanshin four weeks ago. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role.
