Without a great deal of early pace evident Breviary may lead the way over Nextone. SMART RETURN (10) is going to strip fitter for first-up run at Avoca. Gets some nice weight relief here after the claim for Jordyn Weatherley. Look for a forward showing. CARAT TIME (3) is coming off a break. Showed plenty of promise last campaign. Is nicely placed here fresh and a forward showing is on the cards. INSPIRED CHOICE (7) was easy in the market when finishing midfield at only run last November. Has trialled up soundly for return and is worth keeping in mind. CHESSPIECE (4) went around at big odds at Ararat last time but showed vast improvement. Has been kept fresh since and is on home track here. Has to be respected. SUGGESTED PLAY: Back Smart Return and Carat Time to win.
