GOING:

MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR PACE 1740m

Track: GOOD

WHEREYABINBOPPIN (10) hasn't been at his best of late but showed improvement when he led and stuck on for a midfield finish at Menangle last time and had kicked off his campaign with a second at this venue. Strikes at 50 per cent at this distance and would win this is anywhere near his best. DAY TWO (9) has won two of four starts at Melton so far this campaign, last time working home strongly to score by 1.2 metres. Owns a decent record at this distance range and is drawn to enjoy an economical run with the sprint lane in play. REPELLING (8) chased a handy one when third at Geelong a week ago and also placed at Melton last month. Draws out but could be close to a win. YUKON BE SERIOUS (1) gets the ace draw again and can be competitive from there.
