GOING:

SHAMROCK FLOORING PACE 1609m

Track: GOOD   Rain (Max: 31)

ROCKNMETRO (1) was brave at Ballarat last start, drawing on the back row and working to find the front before sticking on for a 2.5m second. That gave him two wins and two placings from the last five outings and he should get every chance from the ace draw. STEEL THE MOMENT (6) added to his consistent from when runner-up from a wider barrier last time and came from this draw when he won at Horsham prior. Can make an impact again. GALAXY LASS (4) will find this much easier than her last attempt in a Breeders Crown heat and had placed in her previous three outings. RUBY WINGATE (5) hasn't been far away in two outings since a win from the back row. MAAS BETTING AGAIN (3) deserves respect after coming from a similar draw for a last-start win at Charlton.

Last start game effort despite getting well back, when 2nd (Fr7) over 1700m at Horsham beaten 5 m by Browniesatmidnight (2:02.00) in NR 56 to 64 on December 7 at $4. Two runs back failed to make any headway until the straight; raced back and made ground from the turn; won by a neck when driven back in the field, (Fr6) held up early, at Horsham (2:01.60) beating Rocknroll Willow in NR 55 to 64 on November 24 at $2.70 at the bell was 6th-10.6. Strong claims.

Comes here second-up after a week-and-a-half. Lacklustre first-up performance when she broke in score up and was out of position at the start 11th (Sr2) over 1700m at Horsham beaten 75 m by Browniesatmidnight (2:02.00) in NR 56 to 64 on December 7 at $101. Not keen.
