NUM TIME COMMENT
1 04:59 BYFORD EQUIPMENT EASTER CUP NMW PACE (1ST HEAT) 1755m
MOMENTUM SHIFT (11) settled handy but didn't find enough in the end and could only manage sixth last start over 1720m at Melton, that effort coming on the back of some comparable performances of late. Not drawn to best so may need a 10/10 drive. Beautifully placed and is sure to be there at the finish. WITH IN REASON (9) continued a strong run of recent form and deserved his win last time out, scoring by 1.4 metres over 1690m at Shepparton. Not drawn to best so may need a 10/10 drive. That latest effort is good enough to take out a race like this. SPORTS NARRATOR (2) is heading the right way, improving last time out to finish second at Shepparton over 2190m. Genuine threat. LILSTREPO (12) is next in line but might need a few good breaks from an awkward draw.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
2 05:39 ECHUCA STEEL SHEDS PACE 1755m
POLLY PEACHUM (10) ran fourth last start at Swan Hill over 1750m, beaten 5 metres. Not drawn to best so may need a 10/10 drive. Finds a nice race and will take plenty of beating. ALCATRAZ GIRL (5) was expected to do a lot more last time out when fifth, beaten 10 metres, over 1690m at Shepparton. The recent run not a true indication. Good enough to take out a race like this. OUR MYSTERY BET (8) is looming as a real threat after a better effort last start, finishing third at Shepparton over 2190m. THE LADYBIRD (9) cannot be ruled out but needs a bit of luck from the tricky draw.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
3 06:13 ALABAR BLOODSTOCK PACE 2160m
MUSSEL SHOALS (2) settled in the leading division then drove to the lead and kept finding only to finish a very close second last start over 1690m at Shepparton. No excuses from this advantageous draw. Tackles a similar assignment and she can take this out. EAGLE MAJOR (1) is in good form with top-five finishes at his last four starts, most recently recording a second over 2190m at Shepparton. Likely to get all the favours from this nice draw. Facing a tougher assignment but he is good enough to cope. COVERED IN GOLD (8) deserves consideration after his last-start fifth when resuming over 2080m at Cranbourne three weeks ago. KRAKEY (6) is worth some thought after his last-start sixth over 2190m at Shepparton on March 24.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
4 06:48 VALE PAUL GRAYDON TROT 1755m
JILLIBY TOPGUN (5) had been racing in great heart then kept the ball rolling last start when he finished third over 1690m at Shepparton, beaten 8 metres. Beautifully placed and is sure to play a major role again. JESSICAS STORY (3) is racing well with four top-five finishes in succession, the latest effort a second at Bendigo over 2150m. No excuses from this advantageous draw. Primary contender in a similar race. VAN DOREN (8) is worth another chance after a last-start eighth over 2250m at Boort five weeks ago. PATNWILL (7) is worth plenty of thought off a last-start win by 5 metres at Kilmore over 1690m.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
5 07:22 MOAMA BOWLING CLUB PACE 1755m
HELLOVATIME (3) settled near the pace then drove to the lead and kept finding only to finish a very close second last start over 2190m at Shepparton. Likely to get all the favours from this nice draw. Good enough to win a race of this calibre. GINGER ELLA (2) ran sixth last start at Maryborough over 2190m, beaten 12 metres. Talented and has plenty of upside. Expected to run well. REIGN EM IN (1) is in the mix following a respectable second at his most recent appearance over 2150m at Bendigo. KUALIGHT (4) is open to further improvement at her third run back from a break after saluting last time out over 2190m at Shepparton.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
6 07:56 NOEL EVANS MEMORIAL TROT 2160m
MANDA KYVALLEY (6) made it two wins from her last six runs six days ago, getting home by 5.5 metres over 1690m at Maryborough. Taking on a better field but she is capable of running another big race. ALABAMA MAY (2) finished second last start over 2180m at Kilmore, beaten 12 metres, after also filling a minor placing at the previous appearance over 2200m at Ballarat. No excuses from this advantageous draw. Good enough to put herself in the winners' stall. RASTAMON (1) didn't do a bad job when fourth over 1690m at Maryborough last time out. JUST A JOURNEY (7) is worth some thought after her last-start fourth when resuming over 1650m at Bendigo on April 1.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
7 08:30 LLOWALONG FARMS MAIDEN PACE 1755m
SON OF A BROAD (5) turned in a much better run last time out when runner-up over 2690m at Kilmore, beaten a head after racing handy. Recent efforts are good enough to win a race of this calibre. LOWER WEST SIDE (9) resumes from a spell of 11 weeks after closing off last campaign in good form, the last run being a solid third over 2190m at Shepparton. Hard to know where she gets from this slightly awkward draw. Sure to be right there at the finish. PEARL OF PHILTRA (6) is a three-year-old filly by Ride High from Just Look At Me on debut. Placed in a recent trial. Sure to prove tough to beat. INTERESTINME (8) is worth some thought after his last-start fourth over 1690m at Shepparton on March 24.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
8 09:04 TONGALA LIONS CLUB PACE 2160m
MY GREAT EIGHT (7) failed to flatter last time out when fifth, beaten 16 metres, over 1650m at Bendigo. Can travel in a nice spot from this draw and wait on the sprint lane if necessary. Primary contender if anywhere near his best. PARISIAN BANDIT (8) was in the money at Shepparton two runs ago before finishing third at his latest appearance over 1650m at Bendigo, beaten 12 metres. Leading hope if he is at his best. ATOMIC GLORY (6) is on the radar after his last-start fourth over 1690m at Kilmore three days ago. TASTE IT (5) is in the mix following a sixth at her most recent appearance over 1690m at Kilmore.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
