TRANSONIC (12) finished 11th two starts ago then recorded a comfortable win last time out, scoring by 10 metres over 2400m at Central Southland Raceway. Not drawn to best so may need a 10/10 drive. Stepping up a level this time but he is good enough to take this out. BELUGA (5) has been competitive of late and kept the ball rolling last time when 3.5 metres from the winner in second over 2200m at Wingatui. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is capable of testing his rivals. TUA LIPA (14) is in the mix at his first run since finishing third over 2400m at Central Southland Raceway three-and-a-half months ago. TREACHEROUS DREAMS (3) has each-way claims following a respectable third at his most recent appearance over 1980m at Addington.
