WALTER WARLOCK (8) registered a strong performance last start when he battled on bravely to just miss out over 2030m at Newcastle. May need luck at some stage extracting from the inside of the second row but has the class to take this out. LENNETH (9) had put together a string of strong performances then added to the list last start when he scored over 1609m at Menangle, getting home by 2.5 metres. Meets a comparable field so he can keep the ball rolling. FOR ALWAYS ARDEN (2) is close to a win after two successive placings, the latest a third over 1720m at Penrith. Great chance to break through. VINTAGE EDITION (6) has been about the mark of late and must be respected, the latest offering a sound second at Newcastle over 2030m. Can trouble the judge.
