Strong early tempo with Bear Quorum driving forward from a wide gate with Dionis also handy. DIONIS (6) returns from a five-month break and is having his first look at a turf track. Excels when fresh with wins at each of his last three first-up runs. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position. Best form puts him right in this. SOLARO (4) showed early speed from an outside draw last start and raced on the pace before boxing on well to finish second over 1700m at this track. Finds a tougher race but he has the talent to test this line-up. BEAR QUORUM (14) turned in a mediocre run last time out over 1800m at Morioka Dirt after a nice win the start prior. Finds an easier assignment and can turn things around. HINATA (13) handy filly who is racing well with a string of wins, including scoring last start over 1400m at Morioka Dirt. Has ability and is a definite top-three hope.
