Genuine tempo with the speedy Pappa Ritch crossing from the outside gate. WAZZA (9) produced a nice effort on debut in better company last start over 1500m at Ballarat Synthetic when second, beaten a neck. He stayed on strongly there after showing speed and is well placed to break through over the mile today. FIERCE FIASCO (3) is yet to break through after five career starts but has been solid in three runs this time in and the effort at Kilmore on turf two back reads well. Hard to hold out. PAPPA RITCH (5) stepped out on his debut over 1206m at Donald and stuck on fairly well for fourth. Quickly up in trip is interesting and don't discount. NUMBERSNEVERSEEN (4) struggled at Mildura last time but had been good prior and back in trip here should suit better, respecting. SUGGESTED PLAY: Wazza to win.
