Icebergs to take charge ahead of Brazen Empress at a solid tempo. WOZZECK (9) just missed at Northam last start as an $18 chance as he flew home from near the tail of the field. He's been slowly away his past couple which is a niggle, but he'll be at peak fitness now. He drops in weight and if he jumps with them, look out. L'IL CAPRI (8) gets Pike back in the saddle after a 2.7L defeat at Ascot last start. Her win two back rates well in this field and it wouldn't surprise to see her sit closer this time around. Can bounce back to winning form. WAR MATTERS (7) can improve on what we saw from him last time out. ICEBERGS (1) looked good in a recent trial and this trip should suit first-up. Can pick up where he left off. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Wozzeck in the finale.
