Calypso King might not get things his own way up front with a few debutants lining up. IL CIELO (5) has placed the last three and is overdue. Stalked the race and got home well in richer maidens last two and looks the biggest threat. Career best figure was here at this trip when he just missed. ASK YOUR MOTHER (1) wasn't the best away on debut and got well back before working to the line well. Has good upside and no surprise to see him in the finish. SHE THINKS AHEAD (9) didn't have the clearest paths in the run home last time and wasn't bad when fifth. Fitter again and can do much better. DURNESS (8) is an unraced 3yo filly who has trialled four times. The first two in NZ then switched yards and has had two here. Won a jump-out most recently at Cranbourne and looks to have found a nice starting point. SUGGESTED PLAY: Follow up on Il Cielo.
