Suitably placed to crack the maiden win. POND WAVE (5) started at $7 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth and beaten 5 lengths at this track over 1600m. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. STAR CHARM (10) was well in commission last start over 1600m at this track when ninth, beaten 13 lengths. Deserves another chance. THE GOAT (6) finished third at this track two runs back but was less effective last time over 1200m at this track, finishing 5.5 lengths back in seventh. Finds a nice race and can atone.
