Play Act, Forest Spy and Eyjafjallajokull to battle for the lead at a strong tempo. SPEED RACER (9) showed good improvement in his local debut effort over 1200m on the polytrack. He raced from a handy position but found one too good on the day. If confirming his recent improvement, he can go one better. ANUSCHKA'S WORLD (1) has consistent form lines to his name. It must be noted that the horse that finished third in his last outing has come out and won since. Apprentice Nirvan Nastili takes the 2.5kgs off his back which will assist his cause. CLIFF TOP (3) finished out of the money when fresh-up from a spell two starts back then finished fourth over 1200m at Fairview All Weather last start after racing on the speed into the turn. The engagement of Richard Fourie is a positive move. Nicely placed to figure in the finish. FOREST SPY (6) returned from a spell last start and finished sixth over 1000m at Fairview All Weather. Has place prospects.
