Strong tempo from the outset as a number of them push forward, with Dakota Cat, Mediteraneangoddes and Kilmonivaig leading the charge. HUGSANDHIGHFIVES (4) finished strongly when winning her last start over this course and distance. That was her first outing after 24 weeks off the track and she would have come on from the run. She is in a good space and can follow up. SMASHING (3) ran on well when third of 14 over 1000m on this course last time. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and should finish closer as a result. KILMONIVAIG (2) ran a good race when third over this course and distance last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She drops back in class and has each-way claims. SWISS PARADISE (8) resumed from a spell over 1000m at Fairview All Weather last start and was too good for her rivals. Fitter for that last hitout and is expected to feature in the finish.
