Pace strong from Rich Hunter and Elan Fevre vying for the lead closely attended by Ribbon Peach. ELAN FEVRE (1) comes here off a break of three-and-a-half months. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last prep over 1400m at this track. Has ability and should be right in the finish. RIBBON PEACH (3) is unbeaten this campaign after two appearances, the latest win coming over 1400m at this venue. Comfortable winner last time and can measure up again. SMART SCOPE (9) was strongly fancied when second last time over 1400m here after being well positioned to strike on the turn. Nicely placed to atone. FIRE BOLT (4) made good late inroads and got up for third over today's trip at this circuit last start. Tough to stop again.
