Strong early tempo with Behtar and Verdad to lead the way over Independent Road and He'll Rip. SABAN (13) can bounce back to his best returning to Flemington. His fresh win here over 1420m was excellent before a few things against at Caulfield. He'll be back but winding up strongly late. VERDAD (8) has been costly this time in, finishing second at each start. Given every chance at Moonee Valley last time and being beaten again, albeit with 62kg. He drops 6kg here and gets McDonald on which is a big positive. KETTLE HILL (7) dashed home from the back of the field in a very slow race at G3 level and this trip looks perfect for him. MARACOURT (9) is in flying form and can measure up. SUGGESTED PLAY: Saban on top.
