Pace on from the outset with Kamigamino Utage, Maruyo Haruki and Hikaruno Nagi going forward ahead of Hayao and Alma Viva. A SHIN PANGAEA (3) improved last start but found one better over 1400m at this track, beaten a neck. Finds a suitable race and can play a major role. ALMA VIVA (4) made progress last time out, finishing third at the end of 1200m at Monbetsu. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is capable of testing his rivals. MARUYO HARUKI (6) ran well on debut last start to finish second over 800m at this track in a tougher race. Likely improver so he can feature again. HAYAO (10) has started twice, running a good third on debut then finishing fifth last time over 1100m at Monbetsu. Should park just off the speed. Solid top-three hope.
