Pace on from the outset with Mountain Laurel, Konoyoruo Tometeyo and Shita Pants pushing forward, closely attended by Teruken Landler and U V Cut. MOUNTAIN LAUREL (2) produced a nice effort on debut in better company last start over 1200m at this track when third, beaten 4 lengths. Has a low draw so he should be in the finish again. RICH BANQUET (6) will find this a little easier than her third on debut five weeks ago, beaten 11 lengths at the end of 1200m at this track. Can do much better here. AFTER REVIEW (9) resumes from a spell of 12 weeks and is having his first outing under new trainer Takatoshi Takaiwa. Finished fourth at Monbetsu over 1200m at the opening run last time in work. Worth plenty of thought on an each-way basis. SHITA PANTS (8) debuted three weeks ago when he finished sixth over 1200m at this track, beaten 14 lengths. Plenty of scope for improvement.
