A solid tempo on the cards with Cobra Club heading them off. RED RAGS TO BULLS (11) had been racing well without winning in town then went to the provincials last start and grabbed a confidence-boosting victory over the mile at Newcastle. Building a fine record at or around today's journey. Another win looks well within reach. PIERATA'S GEM (8) has been handy enough on straightening but just lacked a killer blow at all three runs this prep, each time in Sydney Saturday grade. Takes a step back today and is cherry ripe. Looks a big danger. COBRA CLUB (4) was a big all-the-way winner two back at the Illawarra Grange circuit. Not too far away at Randwick last time which is decent form for a race like this. ANDRON (10) didn't threaten last time out when fresh from an 11-month lay-off at Newcastle. Can improve sharply with that run under the belt over a bit more ground. RILEYCAT (9) finished just over a length away in a blanket finish over 1250m here recently. Looking for today's trip at the third run back. SUGGESTED PLAY: Red Rags To Bulls to win again.
