Anticipate Dubai Warrior, Standard Deviation and Champagne Hero to set a strong tempo. CHAMPAGNE HERO (1) scored convincingly two back over 1550m at the Kensington track. Took on Saturday grade last time and after settling a long way off the pace worked home fairly but was never a threat over the Randwick mile. Beaten three lengths at Listed level over 1800m last prep so this longer journey could be the key. CHEVAL DE BOIS (3) went to the post as a $1.50 chance last start but after leading found a couple better in the concluding stages of a BM64 here at this trip. Gets a bit of weight relief in this tougher race. Should give a great sight. SUPREME SOVEREIGN (8) ran a better race but was still easily accounted for in third over 1600m at Warwick Farm last Wednesday. Fitter for three runs back from a spell and is a definite contender. FIOPROSPERO (7) didn't do a great deal in two Brisbane staying runs recently. Worth another chance coming back a little in trip. STANDARD DEVIATION (6) strips fitter second-up and looks ready to tackle this distance. SUGGESTED PLAY: Champagne Hero to bounce back and salute.
