Many of these step out for the first time so a genuine tempo is expected. AEMOND (1) is the big watch on debut. He's a Written Tycoon colt for the Freedman yard who is also entered in the G3 McNeil Stakes on Saturday. Clearly there's a good opinion of him and his trials have been strong. If here, he should go close. SALAMANCA SIX (4) is a gelding by So You Think on debut for the Dom Sutton yard. He looked good winning a recent Flemington jumpout and looks ready to run a big race. SILENT GRIT (5) resumes having shown ability in two runs last time in, tested in Listed company on debut before a sound effort at Pakenham behind a handy one. This suits. JUST RELEASED (3) is a gelding by Wandijna for the Johnstone yard who has won a trial here and can figure from STARK VARG (6), a Profiteer gelding for the in-form Bedggood yard who hasn't done a whole lot at the jumpouts but profiles well. SUGGESTED PLAY: Aemond to win.
