Genuine tempo with Alby's Mate to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. Good little contest with plenty of chances. ARAPAWA (6) in leading Scone yard and kept coming first-up with a fast finishing second over 1000m at this track. Comes out of a strong contest and expected to go close. HANUMAN (1) second run for the new yard he scored the breakthrough Maiden win over 1000m at Wellington with the 59kg. Confidence is high but doesn't get the same map favours here. Each way. RING MY BELL (8) resumes with the nice 900m trial win under her belt. Went out a winner with a sound on-pace win over 1000m at Quirindi last November 13. Has the speed to get over from the sticky draw. Keep safe. MAGURTZ (4) smart gelding resuming. Improved with racing in his first prep to get the job done here third-up over 1280m. Fitted with a solid 1000m trial placing and looks set for a good prep from the low gate. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 6,1,8,4.
