Plenty of pace established by Etosha, Alpine Thunder and Popilita, with Amant Francais close at hand. ALPINE THUNDER (3) is the measuring stick again. Was far too slick fresh leading throughout to score and off the low draw and with the claim again will take catching. POPILITA (6) has been runner-up last two and knocking on the door. Has never won at Hobart but placed 3/5 and has a senior rider going aboard. Should prove hard to beat. STARDARMUS (4) resumes from a long break. Fitter for two trials and while this is short of his best there is enough pace up front to be getting home hard. AMANT FRANCAIS (7) was no match for Alpine Thunder latest but is fitter again and expected to improve. ARAYA SUNSHINE (9) ran on hard to finish runner-up behind Alpine Thunder latest and looks well placed to be storming home into the finish again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stay with Alpine Thunder.
