CAPTAIN GROOVE (8) turned in a much better run last start when third over 1710m at Goulburn, beaten 3.5 metres after leading. Has to contend with a very wide draw but rates a leading hope in this comparable race. SIR CANDY CLOUD (10) is racing well with four top-five finishes in succession, the latest effort a second at this track over 1609m. May need luck at some stage extracting from the inside of the second row. Big chance in a similar race. SEE THE DREAM (6) is better than her first-up tenth over 1720m at Penrith two weeks ago. Strips fitter now and can improve sharply. SWEET ROCKY (2) is worth some thought based on his third over 1609m at this venue two runs ago. One for the exotics players.
